ANNOUCE 02: VR Grad Assistant: Lynn Zhang will be beginning soon (date to be posted ASAP). Lynn has taken 3 courses in XR throughout her first year at IDM. She is very well-versed in Unity and C-Sharp. She will be available to help manage the remote IDM computers, update the XR Lab website with tutorials and other helpful information and will have a calendly schedule set up for tutoring students taking IDM XR courses.
*Note: Several students applied for IDM grad assisting positions, due to the late start in the hiring process, we were not able to interview all candidates this semester.
ANNOUNCE 03: Last fall I required a textbook for this course: Rubin, Peter. . (Price $6.63) HarperCollins Publishers. 2018. ISBN: 9781538498279 . I then found out in the Spring, IDM has a policy of NO required textbooks :) Your classmate Irwin has mentioned that in seeing this book reference on my syllabus, he was able to buy a copy for $5. I'm NOT going to require this book, but I will be posting additional readings from Future Presence, because it is a fantastic book (I own two copies). If you would like to purchase a copy and follow along, great! It can also be found at these libraries and can be checked out via scan, contact-less pick-up, or home/office delivery.
