IN CLASS

DUE: ALL PARTS OF ASSIGNMENT 04, READING/VIEWING 04, POST 04

CLASS PRESENTATION OF ASSIGNMENT (crit)

A FEW PRESENTATIONS GUIDELINES : "Art, in itself, is an attempt to bring order out of chaos.” Stephen Sondheim

  • 3 Groups (15 minutes presentation, 10 minute Q & A) Group Order of Presentation: 3, 2,1

    • GROUP 01: Saki (UX), Dhruv (UX), Deborah (Producer), Shrek (Programmer), Yueting (Artist), Yalta (Artist)

    • GROUP 02: Tianyao (UX), Bo (Artist), Joanna (Producer), Tina (Artist), Amy (Programmer), Wayne (Artist)

    • GROUP 03: Adlan (UX), Arushi (Producer), Kiki (Sound), Lynn (Programmer), Calvin (Artist/Sound), Clareese (Artist)

  1. NO APOLOGIZING for any aspect of your presentation. If something is not quite right, DO NOT let your audience know. If something isn’t working correctly skip it (if possible). Speak with confidence and conviction about the project you are presenting. Pretend this is β€œreal world” in the sense that you’re out of school and trying to get funding for a project, and you need to convince your audience to believe you know what you’re doing and that your project is worthwhile.

  2. Q&A should include β€œconstructive criticism.” (Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one. The purpose of constructive criticism is to improve the outcome). You are doing each other a great service in discussing the works critically!
